Your account

Everything about your account is under Account settings: choose your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Account settings (it opens the Settings part of the Dashboard).

Your email, password and passkeys belong to your Oneverse account, the one you sign in to every app with: on the Your Oneverse account card, Manage at Oneverse opens it. Your name, picture and language are there too, and the same in every app.

  • Display name - how you appear to others: in teams, in sets you share, on songs you submit.
  • Upload a picture - any common image format. You crop it to a square; it’s saved at up to 512×512.

At Oneverse, to change it, enter the New email and choose Change email. We first ask your current address to approve the change, then send a confirmation link to the new one. Your email changes once you open it.

A passkey lets you sign in without a password, with your device’s fingerprint, face or screen lock.

  1. At Oneverse, under Passkeys, give it a name if you like (“My laptop”).
  2. Choose Add a passkey and follow your device’s prompt.

Add one on each device you use. You can remove a passkey at any time.

Tell your teams what you play or do - Instruments (vocals, guitars, keys, drums, harp, accordion, cajón… and any your admin added) and Other roles (technician, media operator, sound engineer). They’re shown next to your name in team member lists.

Choose the app’s language under Language. First day of the week sets where every calendar’s weeks start: Automatic (from the language) - Sunday in English, Monday in French - or always Monday, Sunday or Saturday.

Everything Songverse tells you shows under the bell at the top of every page (see Notifications). Under Notifications, tick which kinds are also sent to you by Email and to your devices (Push) - a date you signed up for cancelled, changed or tomorrow, its set ready, an event deleted, an admin answering for you or asking for your answers (and the day before the deadline), putting you on a part or taking you off, someone declining a part (for the team’s admins), someone asking for a replacement on a part you play, someone taking your place, being made the host of an organisation’s event, and what isn’t about your calendar - a request to connect, a song or songbook shared with you, someone joining your set or team, your team role, your suggestions and catalogue submissions reviewed, a part recorded in your multitrack (see Notifications); they’re all on until you choose. Several at once come as one email, or one notification. When the server doesn’t send them by email or to devices, the card says so.

Turn on notifications on this device asks your browser for permission, then lists the device under Your devices - do it on each phone or computer you want them on. On an iPhone or iPad, add Songverse to the home screen first (Share, then Add to Home Screen) and turn them on from there. Send a test notification checks they arrive; Turn off on this device, or the bin beside a device, stops them there. A device whose browser stopped them is removed by itself; one the last push didn’t reach says why, in red under it. If a test doesn’t show, close every Songverse tab (or quit the app) and open it again: a new version of Songverse takes over a browser only once all its tabs are closed.

Quiet hours keep your devices silent at night (22:00 to 07:00 to begin with, in your time zone - change From and To): what comes in then shows when they end. The bell and emails aren’t held back.

How chords read on every chart you open:

  • Chord names - letters (C D E), solfège (Do Ré Mi) Nashville numbers (1 4 5) or Roman numerals (I IV V): see Nashville numbers and chord colours.
  • Chord colours - Plain, or By chord type.
  • With a capo - chords as they sound, or as the shapes to play. Shapes are written in italics, so they’re never taken for the chords you hear, and a song with a capo shows it as a red pill - ⚠ Capo 1 · chords as shapes - in Practice and Live.
  • Chord diagrams - None, Guitar, Ukulele or Piano: how to play the song’s chords, beside its chart (see Chord diagrams).
  • Songs read as - Chords and lyrics, Chord grid (bars) (see Chord grid), or PDF, when the song has one: how songs show in Practice and Live unless you choose otherwise for a song (see Playing a set live). A song without a PDF shows its chart instead.

They’re where every mode starts: the Display panel changes them for one mode - Edit, Practice or Live - and its ↺ puts that mode back to these. Hiding chords and simpler chords are set per song, from its chart - see Your own view of a chart.

Files you upload to your own songs (PDFs, audio, ChordPro files) count toward your storage limit; what you add to a team’s songs counts toward the team’s pool instead. The Storage card shows how much you use. Ask an admin if you need more: they give storage tiers as roles.
